God designed us for community, and Small Groups are where real life change happens through authentic relationships. At NLCC, Small Groups provide a place to grow in your faith, build meaningful connections, and walk through life together. Whether you’re recaping Sunday's sermon together or going through a book study, you’ll find encouragement, support, and belonging. Life is better together.

NLCC Life Groups run in two semesters each year:

Spring Semester & Fall Semester

Groups meet on Wednesday evenings and run for 12 weeks each semester.

When Life Group sign-ups open closer to the start of each semester, you’ll be able to join by completing a short sign-up form. Once you submit the form, our team will follow up and help get you connected to a group that’s a great fit for you.

Life Groups are relaxed and relational. Groups may discuss the Sunday message, go through a book or Bible study together, or gather around a shared interest. Each group is a little different, but all are focused on building relationships, growing in faith, and supporting one another through life.

Leading a Life Group

You don’t have to have it all together to lead a Life Group — just a willingness to say yes and let God use you. Life Group leaders help create space for connection, conversation, and spiritual growth, and God often works just as much in the leader as He does in the group.

As a Life Group leader, your role is simple: create an environment where people are encouraged, grounded in Scripture, praying for one another, and taking next steps in their faith. We’ll equip you with everything you need to do that well.

You’ll also be set up with your own group in the Church Center App, where you can:

    • Communicate with your group through group chat

    • Share resources and discussion materials

    • Schedule and manage meeting dates

    • Stay connected throughout the semester

    Leading a Life Group is a meaningful way to invest in others and be part of how God changes lives through community.

    Leader FAQs

    When leader sign-ups open, you’ll complete a simple form letting us know your availability, interests, and the type of group you’d like to lead. Our team will walk with you through the next steps, provide resources, and help you get set up in the Church Center App before the semester begins.

    You don’t need to be an expert or have all the answers. Life Group leaders are expected to:

    •  Be committed to the full 12-week semester
    •  Create a welcoming and respectful environment
    •  Facilitate conversation and connection
    •  Communicate regularly with your group

     We provide training, resources, and support throughout the semester to help you lead with confidence.
